Gangster?
You know someone so far out there being a gangster? a mob leader? If you do, there is good news – in fact great news as in Michael Franzese. I saw him at recently at a church in San Jose and his story is amazing. So amazing that it reminds me of St. Paul who before coming to Christ was killing people. And after, had turned into this greatest of teachers for those early churches in the area and helped mentor and support followers for Christ. Likewise, the life of Michael Franzese is a huge contrast of guns, violence and mobs to now being an inspirational speaker for the young that are being lost to gangs and violence. His spiritual turnaround is awe inspiring.
There was something that happened in his life that made him turn around. If you read about it, you will realize it was just one individual who did something that made him realize his path and direction in life and give up a gang, risking life and taking on a new path.
If we take this to another level – upclose and personal, do we also from time to time be and act like gangsters – taking away others time, others opportunities? others monies?…may not be so much by gun and sword but by whats done and by our words! Hmm….
Now, Michael is an inspiration to everyone to have a turn around in life – more so for those who are into gangs and violence.
