If you were from the 80′s or listened or liked that kinda music, these words pop out from a famous song by Techtronic with some of the earlier techno harbingers of the genre. Do you like that kind of music?  Pump up the jam! Pump it up!

I am going to talk about a different kind of pumps in this post.

A pump for your liquids – heart! What do you do to pump it up the jam?  It pumps about 100,000 times a day!

A pump for the waste liquids – kidneys What and how do you think they get to be healthy if not a bit of attention is given to them? Did you know there are yoga stretches that address this issue? About 2 litres per day!

A pump for your solids – stomach! and all its supporting cronies from the mouth to the anus!  What do you do to pump up the jam, to make it function efficiently, to make it healthy and well routinely? daily? Always working when food or liquid  is in it!

A pump for the gases – lungs! What special breathing exercises do you do often? daily? routinely? Did you know even going out makes you breathe deeper, to a beach, or sleeping under a fan! But what do you tend to do for pumping up the jam as far as the lungs are concerend? About 20,000 of these bad boys are pumped per day!

A pump for the electrons (neurons) – brain! Your brain and your mind thinks about 60,000 thoughts a day. What do you do to pump up the jam? From those negative thoughts and defeating thoughts of gloom and doom, and supposedly 80% of those we have are these type! Is there a respite? What is it? What can be done?  How do some get so skilled at not being overcome by any kind of problems… So are other pumps too like the liver, the pancreas and more …

So, are we really doing something about pump up the jam! pump it up …. when it comes to keeping and mainting the health? Ironically, the lady in the video is probably using all the pumps singing the song.  While, its important, as you will see exwercise alone is not the answer for maintining the pumps that keep you pumped up!

Why is all this pumping  important? ‘Cause these organs when neglected in time create a tremendous pressure on well-being! You don’t believe me? Kindly look it up – neglected organs over time, neglected health in time! And ironically neglected health is most likely the only disease we have! Don’t we now? :)
