Are we & our parents taking rat poison for heart health? – Part1

When it comes to lifestyle choices, we eat and drink based on our convenience. Is this turning into an epidemic now (for us) and also now for the elderly? When we attempt to treat diseases, in the medical sciences, with a drug or a chemical approach, there is much to be said about the efficacy of the modality. Even though many of these techniques like radiation and chemotherapy are widely accepted as a way to solve the problem on hand, most of us know that these approaches usually open up a lot more cans of lot  more worms when these approaches are pursued; more so if they become a long term prescription, the devil is indeed inside!

Take for instance drugs that help with diabetes or the drugs that help with blood clots and blood flow. More specifically the drug coumadin, that is now become so popular with those that are taking it for blood thinning. Why thin blood? Because it has to pass through the clogged arteries easier – is that it?  Is this a good way to do it? Some have found aspirin as a good way to thin blood? You think you cannot get that from nature? You heard of willow bark – right? Guess what the Chinese, American Indians and the Greek were doing way back in the day! Willow bark baby!
