Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and Brain Diseases – heavy metals every day? – part2

Trust you had a chance to check out the earlier post on – Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and Brain Diseases – heavy metals every day? – part1. We pick up from there in this post.

So, what can one do to minimize the havoc caused by these degerative diseases? Few more simple things to avoid are listed below. Try avoid drinking tap water directly, avoid energy drinks and any that come in cans and even bottles,  Europe has banned drinks like Red bull because of serious toxins, avoid all canned food and preservatives => translation -avoid all canned, boxed, bagged and carton-ed foods and drinks. Avoid or minimize makeup and deodorants, especially anti-perspirants but use natural products instead like sandalwood oils. Avoid too much meats and fish to minimize mercury and other heavy metals and toxins that find their way up the food chain. Also, tooth implants that may have amalgams and mercury!

Because these are degenerative diseases, they exist because of lifetyles that provide room for these to take root. Further neglect and/or being unaware, leads to these type of diseases taking a stronghold in a person’s life, until it takes over!

While its harder to zero in all the cures and all the problems why one gets these deadly degenerative diseases, at the very least avoiding toxins and taking positive steps to detox and to lead a lifestyle that supports clarity and focus and calmness, among other things should help the brain to be alive, pliant and youthful!

Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and Brain Diseases – heavy metals every day? – part1

Heavy metals are one of the main causes for several brain diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Dementia. Consuming heavy metals keeps adequate supplies of oxygen from reaching the brain and thereby cause damage.

To have a healthy brain, the brain must get plenty of oxygen as this is what helps keep it working clear and sharp. It is important to deal with these diseases by removing all possible sources of metal. To treat the brain right, first remove harmful items like Aspartame, cysteine and hydrolyzed vegetable protein from the diet. Get rid of aluminum pots, pans and eating from cans altogether. This will be the best thing you can do so well right away.

Glass storage is preferred. Avoiding air that gets toxic (harder to do, but consider powerful healing yoga breathing exercises such  as  bhastrika breathing detox and kapalbhati).

Benefits of diets high in legumes (beans, peas)

In some regions of the world legumes are the staple diet but people from other parts of the world can tend to overlook the value of this highly nutritional food. Many health benefits are attributed to these healthy protein options.

Studies have shown that consuming beans can reduce instances of cancer. By consuming legumes heart disease is reduced by nearly 25%. Beans are also considered a staple for low glycemic index diets so that they are helpful in controlling blood sugar levels, especially in those with diabetes. They have many nutrients and antioxidants in them, which also help relieve stress. The legumes are also low in fat content.

A quick glance of any package of the nutrient content shows almost a best way to get zero fat and good amount of protein, perhaps the best possible protein for mankind, that is indeed plant-based, is an added bonus, which minimizes the risks that we are likely subject to with any form of animal protein.

Improve your Self-Awareness, Memory and Concentration with Yoga

People of all age groups can have some type of memory problems. Many yogic techniques can help provide important stimulation for the brain and nervous system. Yoga can help improve concentration and the ability to remember.

Dharana can be used to train the mind so that it is clear and focused. Practicing Dharana daily can help a person achieve and remain in a state of peace. The yogic practice of pranayama helps the body focus on breathing and increases the ability to concentrate. Pranayama also provides nourishment to the brain. These techniques will improve a person’s self-awareness, increase capacity to remember and help them to concentrate.

By far, just practise of yoga in some form, as often as possible, is one of the best forms of physical activity that can even help transcend its benefits to higher echelons of who we are like the emotional, mental and spiritual parts of us.

Why not consider yoga as a regimen to relieve stress, to detox, to  improve health, to  improve memory and concentration and gain clarity and calmness in life with simple practice of yoga postures and breaths… I’ve tried yoga a few years now  and found amazing health benefits and you can too! Its very simple to learn if you go to any gym, you can learn the non-stigma non-religious kind if that is what you seek!

Can we live longer with Mediterranean Diet?

Many diseases which cause premature death can be avoided simply by observing healthy eating habits. One of the healthiest diets is the Mediterranean Diet which researches are saying is linked to longevity.

The Mediterranean Diet consists of mostly plant based foods with some fish dishes. A recent study indicated that those who ate this healthy diet had far fewer conditions that are linked to morbidity or mortality. Conditions such as heart disease is of very low occurrence in Greece and Southern Italy where the diet is mostly made up of fruits and vegetables. Scientists state that there is an obvious link between the Mediterranean Diet and a longer life.

Look at the picture and you will get a sense of well-being. The oils, vinegars and fresh vegetables and fruits. The once taboo wines (for alcohol) and oils (for fats) are now finding favour in the healthy section due to the resveratrol and the good fats for instance from olive oil that keep the cholesterol down respectively and obviously  good for the body! Nothing like simple easy steps of wellness for longevity; both quality and quantity of life!

Can we really time being at the right place and right time?

I’m sure you heard the phrase – To be or to have been at the right place at the right time. What do you think about it? Why does it happen only to a few? I was also wondering about this sometime and like to share a few thoughts about it, if i may…

If you do not believe in God, you may find it to be  coincidence. But if you do believe in God,  you still may say, right place at right time, but most believers also recognize God as an infinite supernatural being that transcends time and location and is ascribed all good and all power. Then, we have this all powerful being on one extreme and on the other end perhaps an individual that is all over the place, as in being a mess at everything!

How can we strive to be at the right place at the right time? Isn’t it true that while one may believe that the magic happens at the right place at the right time, other may believe that whatever happens, happens for the good! With that attitude, being at the right place at the right time is not about the time and location or even the individual, but the attitude and gratitude that seem to enable great things to happen, which is almost anywhere and anytime as opposed to the opposite kind that would relate it to happen no where and at no time. While most of us, the in-between-ers might still stick to the “right-time and at right place”….

As humans can only be at one place at any given time, either we get to ascribe positivity  to all of  them and no strings and expectations attached. So, its all good all the time! So, for the most optimistic spiritualist, its all about faith and not so much his interpretation, so its  anywhere and anytime, as he makes himself available for his purpose to be fulfilled by allowing God to show up in his life and in His appointed time, things happen. Like what a  great pastor, Joel Hunter  once said, God looks for our availability, not our ability. Perhaps God showing up at the appointed time is what is right place at the right time! Defined differently by one and all, but destined uniquely at the appointed time and the appointed place for each of us at various stages in our life by the Supernatural all powerful being most people call – God!

What do you think? Bunch of hum-bunk?  Your thoughts?

Are you or your parents considering dental fillings? Avoid mercury like the plague!

Mercury is the most harmful substance to the body than any other heavy metal. It can cause cell membranes to leak and it keeps enzymes from producing energy and removing toxins from the body. Mercury is contained in the materials used by dentists to fill teeth that have cavities.

However, mercury can be released from an amalgam filling and infiltrate the body. It can get into the mouth, lungs and eventually work its way to the brain or even bone marrow causing much bodily damage. When going to a dentist, it is important to choose one who has other natural options, for your health’s sake.

Eventhough it is porpularly now known not to use these fillings, always make sure that anything put on or into your teeth has nothing to do with amalgams or mercury. For that matter, i am hearing that root canals are toxic as well! To be verified!

How to make exercising to be fun?

A common excuse for not getting enough exercise is that it is considered boring. It can be difficult to discover a strategy that keeps one motivated enough to stick with a lifelong fitness program. There are some ways to help make exercising more fun. One mistake many people make when they are starting out is trying to do too much too soon.

By pacing workouts and starting out with exercises that are less intense and building from there, it can be more fun. As success is experienced, it will egg you on to try more exercises. Another way to make exercising fun is to find a workout buddy. Working out, running or even walking can be much more pleasurable with a friend.

Try not so much to monitor the results too much. Goals are good to have but just add the fun part to your exercise any which way you can. A friend of mine hated cardio and then she found bollywood dances in a gym and since she loved dancing and watching herself perform in front of an audience and giant mirrors, she was thrilled and she found a nice way to do her cardio.

Just think about it, in general we are lazy and/or busy. If we cannot make it fun and interesting, forget about it; it ain’t working!  If you are a hot latin dancing types, you can try zumba! One of the most important things we need to do to be alive vibrantly as it does so many benefits such as to lose weight, get stress relief and rid toxins and improve circulation, could very well take a back seat! So, make it fun and do yourself a huge favour!

Try twirling rubber bands across a hallway, for crying out loud, if thats fun for you and go pick them up and do it again and again and again! You will get a workout! LOL….

So, make it fun and lose fat and get fit!

Yoga to Help Fight Cholesterol

It is very clear that with age, cholesterol levels tend to go up for most. Even younger folks these days are getting it due to extremely poor eating and drinking habits. It is  important to reduce bad cholesterol levels and increase the levels of the good kind of cholesterol. When these levels are out of balance and the bad cholesterol levels are elevated, it can lead to harmful heart diseases.

Healthy lifestyles and natural diet is perhaps a very good way to help control the body’s cholesterol levels. Yoga may also be used to fight and reduce cholesterol. Practicing yoga can lead to weight loss which means that there is less pressure on the joints as well as the heart. Yoga can also improve the posture which increases blood flow to vital organs like heart and brain. Several scientific studies have indicated a connection between practicing yoga and improved body health, including decreased cholesterol levels.

A very good book by Dr. H.R. Nagendra and Dr. R. Nagarathna goes into the benefits of yoga and how it helps with hypertension and heart diseases aptly titled – Yoga for Hypertension and Heart Diseases.

Why exercise and diet also may not help? – part3

Trust you had a chance to check out an earlier post on – Why exercise and diet also may not help? – part1 and part2. We pick up from there in this post.

We get all this parts of good health and exercise getting rough-shodded by the environment and circumstances and perhaps even because of limitations of  hurried and busy lifestyles we lead. But what about here and now? For now, for you and me, how can we focus on detoxing heavy metals that are killing us? The heavy metals and chemicals  from pesticides and what we get from everyday living into and onto our bodies is astonishing! Cooking dishes made out of aluminum and even steel with Nickel has some health concerns. These deadly toxins  are goin into the inner cellular parts of our body at an unprecedented rate and could be the deadliest seat-bed of all disease and health, steadily going down!

Reasons why detoxing, not just the digestive one but at a deeper cellular level is key. If things get this bad that we are already so bad in shape with what is going on 24/7, what gives right with diet and exercise? No amount of information is useful if it does not offer the reader some suggestions, and so often as we do in our posts, here are a few solutions to get rid of toxins. What is key in achieving a deeper and a better detox, according to Dr. Brian is that one should try saunas, steam room and even a deeper detox such as the IR (Infra Red)  or FIR (Far Infra Red)  saunas that penetrates to the cellular levels to rid us of toxins. Another simple switch is to minimize exposure to aluminum utensils for cooking. To use high grade steel to cook and or cast iron seems to be more safe than alloys and other heavy metals that can leech out!

What is going on you ask and why the environment is such a bad shape with the amount of toxins getting into the air and water and foods, that we could be doomed, but man is able to find ways to better, but unfortunately he he fighting an extremely tough uphill battle on this count.

Sad, but true that the greed of man has taken a deeper bite into man himself!
